The next phase of enterprise transformation is being shaped by organizations that are thinking globally from day one. As Chinese enterprises expand beyond domestic markets, the complexity of operating across regions and balancing governance, security, compliance, and AI adoption has never been greater.
In this episode of our ongoing Frontier Forward: Asia Edition series, we spotlight Bluecloudatlas (Beijing) Technology and explore how its partnership with Microsoft is helping enterprises scale with confidence through disciplined execution, long‑term operations, and real‑world AI adoption.
Episode 6: Global ambition, governance at scale, and AI in action
This episode brings together Johnson Qing, Enterprise Partner Lead, Greater China Region (GCR), and Cliff Luo, Founder and Chairman of Bluecloudatlas (Beijing) Technology, bringing insights from the FY26 Microsoft GCR Enterprise Partner Summit. They discuss what it takes to support Chinese enterprises as they expand globally, moving beyond one‑off projects to sustained outcomes across cloud, security, governance, and AI.
Key takeaways from the conversation
- Enabling global expansion with consistency and control: As companies go global, complexity rises with governance, architecture, security, and compliance challenges. Bluecloudatlas and Microsoft help by building secure, scalable platforms that let enterprises expand internationally while maintaining control.
- Delivering measurable customer impact: Real transformation happens when technology aligns with business needs. In a shared case, Bluecloudatlas and Microsoft formed a joint team to optimize systems and governance for a global manufacturer, resulting in over 20% better operational efficiency, fewer security incidents, and faster international expansion.
- The power of long-term operational partnership: Bluecloudatlas stands out by focusing on ongoing optimization, cost efficiency, and governance, working closely with customers to integrate Microsoft platforms into daily operations for lasting value.
- Governance as the foundation for responsible AI: AI adoption is speeding up, but many enterprises are stuck on pilot projects. Cliff stressed that real value comes when AI is integrated into daily operations. Bluecloudatlas and Microsoft help customers shift from trials to practical adoption by connecting AI to real business needs, backed by solid governance and security.
- Strategic collaboration beyond transactions: A strong Microsoft partnership goes beyond technology. Bluecloudatlas’s Azure Expert Managed Services Provider (MSP) certification is just a starting point. By collaborating with Microsoft on architecture, governance, and accountability, they deliver structured, end-to-end services for lasting success.
- Advice for aspiring enterprise partners: Cliff’s message to partners is straightforward: focus on fit, not just features. Enterprise customers seek solutions tailored to real business needs, scalable delivery, and long-term partner commitment, supported by strong governance and industry expertise.

Johnson Qing:
Hi, Mr. Luo—welcome to the Microsoft Greater China Enterprise Partner Summit. Great to have you here in person today. Before we dive in, could you say hello to everyone and give us a quick intro to yourself and Bluecloudatlas (Beijing) Technology?
Cliff Luo:
Hi, everyone—I’m Cliff Luo, founder and chairman of Bluecloudatlas (Beijing) Technology. We focus on helping Chinese companies expand overseas. We do end-to-end work around and AI—things like ongoing operations, continuous optimization, and helping clients build new business models. In short, we’re a long-term partner that helps Chinese enterprises go global.
Johnson:
You actually run a few different companies, and Bluecloudatlas (Beijing) Technology is the newest one. What made you decide to jump into the Microsoft ecosystem? And with so many Microsoft partners out there, where did you see your best entry point?
Cliff:
Sure—and I get this question a lot from friends and customers. The simple reason is: Microsoft is truly global, and the platform is end-to-end—from cloud infrastructure to data, security, and AI. That lines up really well with what our customers need when they’re going overseas. They’re looking for consistent governance across regions, strong security and compliance, and a solid, reliable platform. Microsoft is strong in all of those areas, which is why we decided to invest in this partnership for the long run. And so far, the results have really validated that decision.
Johnson:
Thanks, Mr. Luo. Could you share one solid example? What was the customer struggling with, and how did Bluecloudatlas (Beijing) Technology and Microsoft work together to solve it and drive real business results?
Cliff:
Sure—I’ll share one. It’s a global manufacturing company that’s near the top of its industry worldwide. Before they reached out, they were already spending a lot on the cloud, and they’d tried to roll out AI, but it didn’t really take off. As they expanded globally, governance costs went up, security got harder, and their architecture started to get inconsistent across regions. We decided to take this on together using Microsoft’s platform and products. We formed a joint team with Microsoft—basically a co-build squad—and worked with the customer to rebuild key parts of their setup and tackle those issues head-on. With Microsoft’s platform plus our operations, governance, and continuous optimization services, we got the problems under control. In the end, their global rollout and operational efficiency improved by over 20%, and security incidents dropped significantly—well beyond 20%. They even sent an appreciation letter to Microsoft and to us. It’s a case that really stuck with me.
Johnson:
Thanks for that. Based on cases like this—and the customers we’ve served together—are you seeing any patterns? What’s the most common or toughest challenge, and how does Bluecloudatlas (Beijing) Technology usually help customers get through it?
Cliff:
What we see most of the time isn’t “Which product should we buy?” or “Which license do we need?” The bigger issue is fit—whether the customer’s real business scenarios match the solution and Microsoft’s products, and whether the delivery pace can keep up with the business. So when we work with a customer together with Microsoft, we’re not trying to just finish one project, check the box, or do pure outsourced delivery. We go deep into their industry scenarios, operating model, and real requirements. Then we combine Microsoft’s strong products and services with our strengths in long-term operations and continuous optimization to help them cut costs and improve efficiency.
Johnson:
Absolutely. And in just three years in the Microsoft ecosystem, Bluecloudatlas (Beijing) Technology has already delivered some great results, including earning the top-tier Azure Expert Managed Service Provider (AEMSP) certification. That says a lot about your technical strength and customer delivery. If you had to boil it down, what do you think mattered most for your success?
Cliff:
If I had to pick the biggest factors, there are two. First is playing the long game. We’re committed to staying with customers over time and creating ongoing operational value—helping them reduce cost, improve efficiency, and strengthen governance and security. It’s really a one-stop, end-to-end service mindset. Second is governance—especially global governance and compliance. When companies go overseas, it’s not just GDPR; there are lots of other compliance and security requirements. To do governance in a consistent, balanced, and planned way, you have to really understand the customer’s business scenarios. So for us, AEMSP isn’t the finish line—it’s the baseline. It helps us deliver more structured and more complete services, so customers can truly adopt Microsoft services and products and get them running in real day-to-day use.
Johnson:
Great—AI is clearly impacting everything. Some companies are already leading the way, and others are still figuring it out. To close things out, could you leave our partners here today with one sentence—a quick message?
Cliff:
Thanks—and thanks again to Johnson for the chance to chat today. If I had one message for all partners, it would be this: it’s not enough for customers to “try” AI. AI needs to become part of how they make decisions and how they get work done. For example, a lot of customers buy AI capabilities—like Copilot-based solutions—but they only run a small internal pilot and then it just sits there. When we and Microsoft’s team go in deep, connect AI to real business scenarios, and help them actually use it day to day, they suddenly go, “Wow—this is really useful.” So I think helping more customers truly adopt and apply new technology is exactly what our long-term partnership with Microsoft is about. Microsoft brings the platform and products, and we bring governance services and long-term operations.
Johnson:
Thank you, Mr. Luo—really appreciate the great insights today. And thanks as well for the strong support Bluecloudatlas (Beijing) Technology has given to Microsoft. We’re excited to keep working together, serve more customers, and help more enterprises drive Frontier Transformation. Thanks again, Mr. Luo.
Cliff:
Thanks, Johnson.
