When Cognosys was honored with the Red Herring 2012 Top 100 award, Microsoft promoted the accolade in its App of the Day tweet program through @WindowsAzure on Twitter. The tweet reached a huge audience of more than 115,000 Twitter users, and drove more than 450 immediate unique visitors to Cognosys’ website.

To tell the story of how Windows Azure helped its CogCache app offer enhanced performance, scalability, and compatibility to its customers, Cognosys participated in a case study with Microsoft. The case study gave Cognosys collateral to use in customer conversations and was viewed by more than 140 visitors to Microsoft.com. Search engine optimization and search engine marketing were important to Cognosys, so it participated through Microsoft Go-To-Market Services in a SiteWit SEO/SEM campaign. After taking part in the campaign, the India-based company saw website traffic grow and placement on search engines improve.
