We are excited to announce that Action Pack and Competency Partners now have access to the Xamarin development tools as part of their MPN’s Visual Studio subscriptions. This is a significant increase in the Internal-use rights (IUR) development benefits and really great news to excite MPN partners to create more applications based on Microsoft technology.

Xamarin is now available to Visual Studio subscribers. Xamarin development tools allow developers to create native iOS, Android, Windows, and Mac apps in C#. Developers can use the same languages, APIs, and data structure to share an average of 75% of app code across all mobile development platforms.

1. Assign and Activate the Visual Studio benefits from the Partner Membership Center.
2. Go to MSDN Download Portal to download “Visual Studio 2015 Update 2”.
3. Install Visual Studio 2015 Update 2 and sign in with Windows Live ID associated with MSDN right to activate Visual Studio; partners will receive Xamarin after completion.

NOTE: Xamarin features differ between Visual Studio Professional (Action Pack) and Enterprise (Competency) editions

Visual Studio Enterprise subscribers will also get a 25% discount on the Xamarin Test Cloud, which allows partners to test their software on more than 2,000 mobile devices.
