The MAR Price List and the MAR and TRP Product Terms Document are updated to include a new version of the Office OPK, new Windows 11 Product, and Additional Terms revised for new Product.

New Office OPK:

  Going forward the BOM for this Licensable will be updated with the new software for each Office release version instead of creating a new Licensable for each Office release version.

Additional Terms revisions:

• references to “Windows 10” has been changed throughout to refer to “Windows” in order to include both Windows 10 and Windows 11 Products.
• AT 1010 Windows Product Disclaimers / Notices, changed to 1016 and revised to incorporate Windows 11 terms.
• AT 1017 Minimum Hardware Requirements, has been added to reflect the requirement to comply with different minimum hardware requirements for Windows 11.
• AT 1414 has been removed as these terms are duplicative, included in AT 4176.
• AT 1831 Windows as a Service, has been revised to include Windows 11 and to remove 2.2 (c), which is no longer applicable.

The MAR Price List and the MAR and TRP Product Terms Document are updated to include the following:

• New Windows 10 Pro Citizenship SKUs for Digital MAR, and
• End of License date of December 31, 2021 for Windows 10 Pro Citizenship COA SKUs. Please reference the MAR Program Update for Digital Citizenship page for more details.

The MAR-TPR Product Terms Document is updated to add the following:

• End of License Windows COA products on July 31, 2021
• AT1837 is added with COA Product End of License Terms
• Microsoft Office OEM Preinstallation Kit 2106 is added and will be available later in June

Microsoft hereby provides a waiver of the requirement for OEMs to preinstall Windows Release 21H1 as set forth in the GPA - Microsoft Authorized Refurbisher Program Product Terms Document, AT 1831 Section 2.1 (a)

2. Company must comply with the following technical requirements.

2.1 Windows Release Support

1. Windows 10 Home Products. For each Windows 10 Home Customer System, Company must preinstall the most recent Windows Release within 180 days of the Windows Release RTM.

This waiver applies only to this specific Windows Release and does not otherwise amend or modify the terms of the Agreement.

These documents present a new structure for Price List and Product Terms for MAR and TPR, allowing for consistent Additional Terms and a single document to manage them.

This new structure presents a stand-alone Price List for MARs and a Product Terms Document (PTD) shared by both MAR and TPR.

MAR Price List: There are no content changes, just formatting. The effective date of this Price List shows September 1, 2020, to align with the last content change.

MAR and TPR PTD: This PTD has been update in format and wording to enable both MAR and TPR to use the same document and terms.

The effective date of this document is November 1, 2020. MARs should present this new document to TPRs as it allows them to order and Distribute the new Office Home & Student 2019 (Citizenship) Product.

The content has not substantially changed for MARs. Additional Terms wording has been updated as follows:

• Preamble added to Additional Terms:

The following ATs are for both MARs (MAR Distributors) and TPRs, each as the “Company”.

• Revised wording of AT1834 and AT1835 

1. Distribution—removed differentiation for MAR Distribution to TPR, generalizing reference to Distribution of Product on a Customer System.
2. Validation—adjusted for clarity. In a TAP the End User is not validated, the program is validated.
3. Maximum Quantities—changed wording to differentiate between MAR Distributor and TPR, removed generic “Company” since that term now applies to either.

This MAR Price List update includes a new Office Home and Student 2019 Citizenship Product and an end of license date of November 30, 2020 for the current Office Home and Business 2010 Citizenship Product. 

• Office Home and Student 2019 Citizenship is available for Customer Systems Distributed to TAP (Technology Access Programs). This new Product can be added to the PAX agreement by first selecting the agreement on the Manage Agreement Products page in DOC. The Add Remove Products List displays all products available for that agreement. Select products by checking the relevant box(es). A step by step resource guide is available on DPC.
• Office Home and Business 2010 Citizenship end of license on November 30, 2010 means that all Customer Systems with this Product must be Distributed no later than that date. We recommend that MARs transition to the 2019 version as soon as possible, as the 2010 version is no longer supported by Microsoft after October 2020.

Update Summary 8/6/2020 – Microsoft will continue to make an Office Citizenship Product available for the MAR Program.

• Office Home and Business 2010 Citizenship has been added to the Price List and Product Terms Document. We are in the process of creating an Office 2019 Citizenship SKU and will publish an update as soon as we have a launch date.
• AT 1834 revised and AT 1835 and AT 1836 added to provide additional terms required for Office Citizenship Product.

• AT 1414 added, applicable to the Office OPK. The Office OPK will be updated with each Windows Release RTM. 

This MAR Price List and Product Terms Document (PTD) is part of the new MAR Program launch with GPA.

The Price List has been simplified to create only one tier of pricing and Digital MAR products have been added.

The Windows 10 Pro Citizenship products continue to be available, but Office Citizenship will not be offered in the new program.

The Office OEM Preinstallation Kit with free trial period will continue to be available.

The Product Terms Document has been simplified and rearranged to align with our new standard GPA format.  Links have been provided throughout for ease of access and use.  Additionally, the terms have been revised to include ATs applicable to digital Products and to align with OEM ATs and numbering. Please see the attached AT compare document for a mapping of ATs between the current MAR Product Terms Document and the new MAR Price List and Product Terms Document effective August 1, 2020.

This MAR Product Terms Document revision includes a new Microsoft OEM Office Trial Product. This new Microsoft® Office OEM Preinstallation Kit for MAR replaces the Microsoft® Office v16 product that is obsolete. The Price List will not be amended, the new product simply replaces the old product with a $0 royalty.

The following changes have been made to Microsoft OEM Office Trial Product section of the MAR Product Terms Document:

• Product Table has been revised:

1. Product Number removed. The applicable versions of this Product will be made available. Product version updates will be released in cadence with the Windows Release RTM. New language in AT 4176 c.i aligns versions with Microsoft Client Products AT 1005.
2. Language Versions removed and AT 4075 added. This Product supports multiple languages. Refurbisher may distribute more than one language version of the Product.

• This Product requires a credit card from the end user in order to activate the 1-month trial. As a result, the end user notice requirement in AT 4176 has been updated to include terms regarding the credit card. New notice:
  
  • "1-month trial for new Microsoft® Office 365 customers. Credit card required. Unless canceled, subscription fees apply after trial."
• AT 4170 restriction distribution to Japan has been removed as not applicable.
• AT 4174 is added as this Product may not be distributed in Iran.
• AT 4171 and 4172 were combined into a new AT 4176 with updates noted above.
