"Our partnership with Microsoft helped grow our new weekly users by 140% higher than iOS and expand into new channels with Windows Phone devices and new geographies. We started to get more paying users on Windows than iOS on a weekly basis."
The Audioteka app was preloaded on the Lumia family of smartphones as part of the Go-To-Market Services team spring campaign in Poland. Windows Phone users also received exclusive Audioteka audiobook content as part of the "With Microsoft Lumia You Get More" marketing program. Microsoft then facilitated a co-marketing campaign with mobile operators in Poland that featured promotion via digital, social, and YouTube channels, along with press releases.
Because of Microsoft's strong sales relations with mobile carriers, Audioteka is expanding to France, Germany, and Central and Eastern Europe. Audioteka's user base also grew 10% during the campaign.
Headquartered in Poland, Audioteka is a mobile cloud audiobook platform, focusing on non-English-language markets, with a customer base of 3.5 million registered users. Backed by Azure, it provides its customers access to a wide variety of books and literature in audio format in nine languages and in 13 countries.
