***Retiring on June 30, 2019 but will be recognized for competency until June 30, 2020*** Business Intelligence (BI) includes a set of strategies, processes, applications, data, technologies and technical architectures which are used to support the collection, analysis, presentation and dissemination of business information. In this module we discuss Microsoft's main business intelligence tools including SQL Server Analysis Services (an online analytical data engine used in decision support and business analytics), SQL Server Reporting Services (an enterprise, web-enabled reporting tool), SQL Server Integration Services (a platform for building enterprise-level data integration and data transformation solutions), SQL Server Master Data Services ( a solution for master data management to assist with the processes, governance, policies, standards and tools that consistently define and manage the critical data) and Microsoft Power BI ( a tool which enables fast and easy access to data with a live 360º view of the business, incorporating data discovery and exploration, insights from any device, and collaboration across the organization.
