Unlocking deals with Marketplace Rewards and Azure credits
Marketplace Rewards benefits have enabled WeTransact to grow its presence and boost deal velocity. Having a dedicated engagement manager advising on which benefits to use and when has also been a game-changer. With this guidance, WeTransact became aware of investment opportunities it might have missed and helped unlock $250,000 in additional funding, which fueled exponential growth over the past two years.
WeTransact gained significant visibility and trust in FY25 by highlighting a key customer win on the Microsoft partner site. Sharing this content with prospects helped shape buying decisions and build credibility. WeTransact also chronicled its success in helping more than 250 independent software vendors join the Microsoft commercial marketplace while cutting their time to publish by 75 percent.
“The marketing support from Microsoft has helped us get noticed and grow faster,” said Julia Do Prado, Marketing Lead at WeTransact. “Being featured in a customer success story on the Microsoft partner site gave us exposure we wouldn’t have had otherwise.”
WeTransact unlocked credits through marketplace sales, which it uses as an incentive for customers. These have helped close deals faster, reduce friction, and build trust with new customers. For example, a $150,000 Azure sponsorship gained through Marketplace Rewards resulted in a $1.5 million return in Marketplace billed sales through WeTransact directly.
Customers that use WeTransact’s tool to transact in the Microsoft commercial marketplace generated more than $21 million in total billed sales, reflecting strong year-over-year growth. Azure credits have been essential in helping WeTransact land most of the deals it has closed and build the revenue base it has today.
As a result, WeTransact gained attention from Microsoft internal teams and was recognized in a blog post by Microsoft EVP Judson Althoff, highlighting the value the company brings as a Microsoft partner.
