Introducing the ISV Success Advanced Package

ISV Success continues to be the pathway for partners developing software—also known as independent software vendors (ISVs)—within the Microsoft AI Cloud Partner Program to build and innovate across the Microsoft Cloud and grow through the Microsoft commercial marketplace. Once enrolled, you can access core benefits including:

  • AI resources: Work to gain a competitive edge by developing intelligent apps safeguarded by industry-leading data privacy and security.
  • Consultations and support: Get the support you need with resources and 24/7 access to a global community of experts.
  • Developer tools: Accelerate innovation with platforms that help you streamline development, reduce costs, and go to market faster.

As announced at Microsoft Ignite 2024, the evolution of ISV Success now includes AI investments spanning hands-on technical enablement, credits for AI development tools, and expanded benefits for ISVs with AI projects. High-performing ISVs can also qualify for financial incentives to build and deploy AI-powered solutions or migrate end customers to Azure-based solutions.

With the ISV Success Advanced Package, ISVs who have attained a Solutions Partner* with certified software** designation can get the support they need across every stage of ISV Success—including the following benefits and resources:

  • Build and publish solutions
    • Access up to $100,000 in cash incentives for building applications on Azure AI or Analytics.
    • Unlock 50 hours of technical consultations and Azure credits to help technical teams bring apps to market faster.
  • Grow with Marketplace Rewards
    • Get up to $50,000 in cash incentives for each end-customer migration to Azure-based applications.

Please note that active partners currently nominating through Azure Migrate and Modernize and Azure Innovate for ISVs will not lose access to these incentives for the remainder of the fiscal year (through June 30, 2025). There will be no changes to the existing process for partners with active claims.

Azure specializations naming updates

As of January 1, we've updated the naming conventions for three of our Azure specializations:

Azure Essentials news

Azure Essentials launched less than six months ago and has already made an impact:

  • We’ve trained over 100 partner organizations on resiliency best practices for customers.
  • Our customer success teams have helped nearly 500 customers to drive cloud and AI adoption.
  • We launched an enhanced Azure Essentials resource kit with curated best practices, product experiences, reference architectures, and skilling—all at no cost—aligned to your common business scenarios.
  • Our new AI adoption guidance within the Microsoft Azure Cloud Adoption Framework and Azure Well-Architected Framework can help customers scale their AI solutions.

Upcoming skilling opportunities

We plan to roll out more training for partners providing services this year, with additional sessions planned for proactive resiliency. We’re also planning workshops on AI readiness and secure migration that will be available this year. Stay tuned for more updates and explore the Microsoft Partner Skilling Hub to find your next learning path.

Recap of updates

In case you missed it, in Q2 2024, we announced a new SAP RISE assessment to help partners build top-of-funnel demand for SAP RISE projects and stay competitive in engaging prospects. For partners with the SAP specialization, Azure Migrate and Modernize partner-led offerings now include new pre-sales assessments as well as increased payouts for deployments.

  • A new Large SAP RISE assessment allows customers to evaluate a migration path for their SAP workloads and comes with a $15,000 payout to help fund pre-sales engagements.
  • Increased payouts for XS, S, M, and L SAP RISE deployments will help reduce the cost of migrating SAP workloads of every size.
  • Expanded XL and XXL project sizes for SAP RISE will provide additional opportunities for customers with large data estates.

In July 2024, we announced expanded scenarios:

  • The Innovate with Azure AI Platform scenario is designed to unlock Azure's end-to-end capabilities for AI-based innovation, including model development, tuning, and AI-ready infrastructure.
  • We expanded support for Build and Modernize AI Apps to combine Apps, Databases, and AI scenarios, with an enhanced focus on modernization.
  • As part of our Build and Modernize AI Apps scenario, we also introduced AI Envisioning and Proof of Value (PoV) support for ISVs as end customers. This provides a path for SI partners to directly nominate ISVs for AI envisioning and PoV support. AI envisioning sessions will help ISVs define AI use cases, understand best practices, and develop optimal technical approaches with a PoV/pilot to build AI-powered apps.
  • Finally, more partners can tap into the value of the Azure offerings with expanded eligibility through certified software designations for Azure, Security, and Industry AI.
