Subsidiaries were loosely integrated to maintain momentum during the intense acquisition cycle. This loose integration resulted in slowdowns and barriers to true collaboration and business operations. Similarly, the patchwork integration resulted in increased administrative costs and missed opportunities for security and compliance optimization. So when the acquisition cycle had run its planned course, the automotive company shifted their focus to consolidation and unification of all systems across the group.
Their goal was to bring all business units under a unified environment focused on modern work and collaboration. They brought on Insight to review their various environments and help develop a transition plan to a single Microsoft 365 tenant that would form the foundation for their future consolidation initiatives across security and compliance, enterprise application rationalization, and datacenter consolidation to Azure.
Insight was a natural fit for the project, as they already had an extensive partnership with the automotive company. Insight manages their enterprise agreements, acts as the organization’s Cloud Solution Provider (CSP) partner for Azure, and works with them to deliver Microsoft Security and Microsoft Intune-based security and compliance solutions. Their deep knowledge of the customer’s operations empowered them to deliver the deep understanding and technological know-how for a successful engagement.
