myAppFree’s application finds useful and entertaining paid apps, then provides them to its users for free. Looking to increase interest in its brand and product, myAppFree turned to the Microsoft Go-To-Market Services team.

Microsoft helped elevate brand and app awareness of myAppFree and another application, myAppRank, through global marketing/PR engines. Microsoft made myAppRank its App of the Day tweet from its @Azure handle. Traffic to the tweeted link increased by more than 1,000% that day, and it earned myAppFree 100 new Twitter followers and a 30% download increase in two days. The Microsoft tweet also helped drive a rise in ad revenue of more than 40% for myAppFree for the next four days. The Go-To-Market Services team also helped facilitate a three-week Facebook campaign that reached over 750,000 people and drove over 20,000 clicks to the landing page. In addition, the team ran a blog post promoting myAppFree and myAppRank.
Headquartered in Italy, myAppFree is an app network application for Windows Phone that lets users download paid apps for free every day. Its team searches and tests thousands of apps to suggest only the best ones, and connects with developers to provide special prices. Users also get a record of money saved.
