According to Matt Rollender, Vice President of Global Business Development at DataStax, Microsoft has enabled DataStax to engage with mutual customers through a broad set of channels and forums to ensure they have access to the best set of tools to experience their data management platform solution.
“DataStax has seen a 140 percent increase in pipeline growth for DataStax Enterprise on Azure by leveraging co-selling opportunities with Microsoft,” Rollender said. “To date, we have achieved 14 joint wins with customers such as IHS Markit, Honeywell, Office 365, and Safeway.”
Rollender continued: “Working with Microsoft has strengthened our strategic partnership with Microsoft and enabled us to collaborate more closely with the global Microsoft sales and marketing teams and ultimately better serve our joint customers. Together, both companies are committed to delivering a tightly integrated data management platform to power cloud applications that are driving customer experience and digital transformation initiatives.”
Helping customers stay focused
One customer that chose the DataStax-Azure combination over other offerings was IHS Markit, who needed a reliable, scalable solution for its digital catalog.
“As a leader in providing information and insight in critical areas that shape today’s business landscape, we knew it was critical to transform our back-end business processes to address scale and flexibility,” said Graham Lammers, Senior Director of Product Development at IHS Markit. “With DataStax Enterprise on Azure we are now able to create a next generation big data application to support the decision-making process of our customers across the globe.”
“Our goal is to enable IHS Markit to focus on business innovation instead of system maintenance,” Rollender said. “Through our strategic collaboration with Microsoft Azure, we have been able to achieve this goal and ensure that IHS Markit remains focused on providing an excellent experience to their Fortune 500 enterprise customers without worrying about re-architecting their system every three years.”
As a testament to their successful partnership with Microsoft, DataStax took home two major awards at the 2016 Microsoft Worldwide Partner Conference: Global Commercial ISV Alliance Partner of the Year and U.S. Enterprise Partner Group (EPG) Western Region ISV Partner of the Year.
"DataStax has proved to be a natural Azure partner through their ability to enable enterprises to build solutions that can scale across thousands of servers which is necessary in today’s hyper-scale cloud environment,” said Scott Guthrie, Executive Vice President of Cloud & Enterprise Group at Microsoft.
“DataStax was deeply honored to receive the 2016 Microsoft Global Commercial ISV Partner award and we look forward to continuing our collaboration with the entire Microsoft team,” said Billy Bosworth, CEO of DataStax. “This honor validates the depth of the strategic partnership between the two organizations and we are excited about better serving our joint customers that have deployed DataStax Enterprise on Azure for their distributed, cloud-based applications.”
