Since its inception in 2009, Icertis, a leading provider of contract lifecycle management in the cloud, has partnered with Microsoft in a variety of ways. “It has proved invaluable to us to create a 360-degree relationship with Microsoft; a relationship at a foundational technology level, a relationship on a business strategy level, and then a relationship on a customer commercial level,” said Jay Banerjee, Vice President of Business Development and Alliances at Icertis.

“Our co-selling efforts with Microsoft Go-To-Market Services have led to growth of more than 100 percent year-over-year, as well as helped with several significant wins with major customers worldwide including Daimler, Wipro, 3M, BASF, and Roche.”

Banerjee felt that co-selling with Microsoft Go-To-Market Services has helped them achieve positive momentum in recent years. “Our co-selling efforts with Microsoft Go-To-Market Services have led to growth of more than 100 percent year-over-year, as well as several significant wins with major customers worldwide including Daimler, Wipro, 3M, BASF, and Roche,” Banerjee said. “It’s a virtuous cycle. As we get more success, we end up getting more visibility and support from Microsoft. That cycle has continued year over year, and has been accelerating.”

According to Banerjee, Icertis has been selected as a managed scale Independent Software Vendor (ISV) partner in the Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) category by Microsoft Go-To-Market Services industry teams. “We’ve had strong momentum with some of the industry teams, especially the manufacturing team,” Banerjee said. “As we keep on winning marquis clients in different industry verticals worldwide, Microsoft has worked with Icertis, helping to develop industry-specific content, solution guides, and brochures, to address the needs of our joint customers.”

Icertis and Microsoft teams recently worked together to help German automobile giant Daimler, which owns a variety of car, bus, truck, and motorcycle brands, including Mercedes-Benz. Daimler was looking to standardize and digitally transform the management of their supplier contracts globally and selected the Icertis Contract Management (ICM) platform, built on Microsoft Azure. The win resulted in a first-ever deployment of cloud/subscription software for a core internal business process at Daimler. Banerjee was impressed with how Microsoft partnered with Icertis at every stage of the process.

On the technology side, partnering with Microsoft and hosting its contract management solutions in the Azure cloud has meant Icertis has flexibility to securely serve customers worldwide. According to Banerjee, one of the benefits of working with Microsoft are the regional Azure datacenters. “This has enabled us to effectively meet our customers’ data compliance needs,” Banerjee said. “This has helped us to create value for our customers and has made us the world’s leading enterprise contract management platform in the Microsoft Cloud.”
