Bitnami enjoys exciting launch

With open-source roots running deep at Bitnami, unveiling its Launchpad for Microsoft Azure solution at the O'Reilly Open Source Convention (OSCON) made perfect sense. Microsoft was right there as a partner to support Bitnami, not only with its cloud platform, but also with the expertise of its Microsoft Go-To-Market Services team.

"We really appreciate the close partnership that Microsoft gave Bitnami to amplify the availability of our Launchpad offering. It helped us get off to a great start!"

Erica Brescia, Co-Founder & COO, Bitnami

Microsoft worked with Bitnami on materials to make its OSCON launch booth a success, including a foundational messaging framework, customer datasheet, and customer-facing FAQ. Bitnami also collaborated with Microsoft on an Azure web page, launch blog post, and press release. And Microsoft @Azure published an App of the Day tweet to about 175,000 followers on Twitter. By combining a great cloud product with marketing and promotion help, Bitnami’s launch was a success. Soon afterward, Bitnami had generated 500% of its goal for images of Microsoft Azure and exceeded its goal for downloads by 60%.
