The solution delivers a unique shopping experience, by connecting in-store interactive displays to product details and inventory in real-time.

To better address the needs of their customers, FGL Sports, a leading Canadian sporting goods retailer, wanted to upgrade the website of their franchise brand Sports Experts. But through conversations with Orckestra, they realized they could do more than just add ecommerce capabilities. They had the opportunity to transform their physical retail environment by offering their customers a unique, immersive digital shopping experience in-store.

Orckestra’s solution consists of an in-store, interactive digital shopping display. The device is fully integrated to create an engaging shopping experience that seamlessly connects the Sports Experts website to an in-store RFID-enabled system called the Shoe Wall. “It gave the customers the opportunity to take a piece of merchandise in-store, connect it to Microsoft Azure and the commerce orchestration platform, and select which color and which size they might be interested in, and at the given location, order from the store and ship them to their house, office or otherwise.” said Gary Guy, CMO & Managing Director-US Region of Orckestra. “We effectively solved a retail customer pain point, to improve operational efficiency and create new opportunities for success.”

According to Gary Guy, Orckestra looks forward to developing more solutions on the Azure platform. “We are pleased with the continuing innovation of the Azure platform.
