The SAM Incentive program is a worldwide channel incentive program designed to help Microsoft partners build sustainable businesses around SAM, by utilizing SAM customer engagements based on a defined scope of work. By participating in the SAM Services Incentive Program, you can introduce customers to SAM best practices—and uncover additional licensing and service-related opportunities that can lead to new sales, consulting, process improvement, and deployment services.
The Microsoft SAM Managed Service Program is designed to provide customers with a continual, governance-based service to help them more effectively manage their IT assets and processes. The Program, delivered through accredited SAM partners, offers customers unique benefits from Microsoft, including flexible solutions for technology and licensing optimization, a reduced risk of audit, and more. Customers will also receive ongoing high-quality services from their Accredited Partner, such as technology roadmaps to help them meet their short and long-term goals, product end-of-support guidance, SAM optimization and maturity reviews, and cybersecurity, cloud, or other value-based consultations.
To participate in this Program, partners must meet initial eligibility criteria and pass a rigorous assessment, based on industry SAM standards, given by a third party Independent Evaluator. Once in the Program, partners will be able to utilize their exclusive status to set themselves apart in the marketplace, drive new business opportunities, gain more exposure, and become trusted advisors to customers through their digital transformation journeys.

IAM 2018 is delivered in partnership with the leading SAM tool providers to allow customers to manage their IT assets actively and systemically. The SAM data-and-analysis platform provides partners who are performing SAM engagements with a standardized process and workflow that ensures data quality, privacy, and security control.
IAM 2018 features two main components:
The core output of IAM’s Universal Inventory (UI) is a standardized, centralized, and de-duplicated view of a customer’s IT infrastructure. This uniquely valuable data can then be used to deliver a variety of helpful insights to customers, ranging from cybersecurity basics to infrastructure optimization to licensing efficiency.
This cloud platform can receive data from UI through a Clean Inventory Data Contract and provide meaningful insights or, upon request, combined with entitlement data to create an Effective Licensing Position.
