The Microsoft SAM Managed Service Program is designed to provide customers with a continual, governance-based service to help them more effectively manage their IT assets and processes. The Program, delivered through accredited SAM partners, offers customers ongoing high-quality services such as technology roadmaps to help them meet their short and long-term goals, SAM optimization and maturity reviews, and value-based consultations such as cybersecurity, cloud, infrastructure optimization, or product end-of-support guidance.
According to Gartner, "By 2021, growing challenges of managing multiple environments and usage scenarios, combined with SAM skills shortages, will increase the usage of SAM managed service providers by 40 percent."*
SAM is an intricate discipline with a limited supply of experienced resources. By effectively taking advantage of SAM managed service providers with essential skills and expertise, sourcing and vendor management leaders can bypass resource challenges to deliver a range of strategic benefits.
To participate in this Program, partners must meet eligibility criteria and pass a rigorous assessment, based on industry SAM standards, conducted by a third party Independent Evaluator. Once in the Program, partners will be able to utilize their exclusive status to set themselves apart in the marketplace, drive new business opportunities, gain more exposure, and become trusted advisors to customers through their digital transformation journeys.
