The Digital Sovereignty specialization validates your ability to deliver secure, compliant, and locally governed cloud solutions using Microsoft sovereign public and private cloud capabilities.

Why it matters

Organizations need trusted partners to protect sensitive data, meet national and regional regulations, and maintain operational autonomy. This specialization demonstrates your proven capabilities in data residency, privacy, encryption, and governance—powered by Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365.

What it takes

To earn this specialization, your organization must hold multiple advanced specializations in Security, Azure, and Modern Work, as well as pass a rigorous audit.

How do I apply?

Manual enrollment is now available. Microsoft will contact you if you have attained the five specialization prerequisites. You can then schedule a third-party audit, which you will need to pass by showcasing recent sovereign projects to earn the specialization.
